This painting is believed to be by  Johann Baptist Zwecker  (1814 - 1876) . A fine German Artist. Antique Oil Painting, conversations at the port, The size of painting is 19.5" x 23.5" inches and the frame measures 25 1/4 x 29 1/4. Do believe he is trying to court at the port! This is an original oil painting. The signature is not quite legible and appears to have been tampered with. What is visible is J. Zwe. .  It was in a Hungarian family for generations then brought here by this very elegant Hungarian lady who recently passed. We bought her entire fabulous estate and we also have other paintings by internationally know artists from her estate. Cannot quite make out the  signature. J Zwe?  Gorgeous piece, nice depth, great characters.
