Leighton Hall Federal Style Chest of Drawers. This is a magnificent, perfectly proportioned, superbly crafted, Early American, High End reproduction of a timeless style. I own 2 antique stores. I carry fine antiques and several of the best name brands of floor samples made. I have several Leighton Hall pieces in my own home. They are comparable to Henkel Harris or E J Victor for a much smaller cost. You are looking at fabulous flaming mahogany cabinet, raised cock beading on the drawers, solid oak, full finished drawers on the interior. Dovetailed joints on the front and back of the drawers. They all have real locking mechanisms of solid brass with keys. The traditional pulls are solid brass as well. On the top of the chest and the fronts of the drawers the gorgeous, richly finished mahogany is surrounded by string inlay bordered by a burnished prima vera wood. The edge of the top is reeded for a little extra luxury. As a true reproduction the drawers graduate in size as they descend. This is all supported by bracket feet with a carved apron inlaid with a fan. Just stunning. This piece is darker and browner in person.
