This is only partner's desk like this we have had since being in the business for 11 years. This very usable piece can make a small room an office for 2 with tons of leg room and work surface. It is solid oak, put together with dowels, 2 drawers on each side, solid brass pulls, hand cut dovetailed drawers, strong turned legs, solid and sturdy construction, nice simple lines, and a newer burgundy leather top. Dimensions are 48"H x 72"W x 30"D. Truly an item a true collector would want.

Starting with the top the leather inlay is embossed with very fine gold decoration. This finely treated leather should last many decades with no cracking or serious wear under normal use. The mahogany surrounding the leather is a deep grained, perfectly kilned mahogany. Gorgeous crotched mahogany panels surround the desk. The flaming mahogany on the drawers is also banded with straight grained mahogany terminating with raised cock beading on the drawers, and a heavier raised decorative beading on the large panels around the desk. The corners and the front indentions have 45 degree carved panels topped by a raised patera. The solid oak drawers are dovetailed on the front and back to hold up to years of abuse. Oak Library Table, Desk, Writing Desk, Very Unique. I was so excited to acquire this piece. If I had a place for it I would take it home. Have you ever seen a trestle like this. The top of this jewel is beautifully worn. The legs and trestle are in great shape. Quarter round beading along the apron of the table. This table is supported by reeded urn over spiral legs ending with ball and claw feet. We won't have this long. The measurements are 31.5"D x 54"W x 30"H.

EG Hudson prides themselves on building heirloom quality furniture for future generations to treasure. Beautiful crotched, matching, flaming mahogany adorns the fronts of the doors, drawers, and top of this fine sideboard. The top has a flat field of crotched mahogany, then string inlay, ending with straight cut mahogany with a three beaded edge. Raised cock beading on the dovetailed drawers.These drawers are solid oak and they are even hand cut dovetailing. When have you seen that on pieces in the 1900's? A piece of this quality will be $5,000 to $10,000 anywhere. Panel moldings on the front of the locking cupboard doors. The measurements are 17"D x 66"W x 33"H.
