We are thrilled to offer you this exceptional piece of fine art by Billy Morgan. Billy Morgan was born December 24, 1946 in Collins, Georgia. Morgan is primarily self-taught and was unaffected by any outside influences. By age 10 he completed his first landscape. His subjects are primarily rural African American families in their cabins at work.

Wash Day
Created in 1979, "Wash Day" features fine details that are true to Morgan's artwork. Details such as the birds on the wire, the fishing poles leaning up against the house, and the old rusted washing machine in the background give this painting character and a real-life feeling. It is titled "Wash Day" because it depicts a man and his son boiling water in an old washtub over an open fire while the mother hangs laundry on the line to dry. This is one of Morgan's rare works because most of his work is done using acrylics but this is oil on canvas. This piece is beautifully framed in a vintage barn wood style frame and features canvas borders true to it's age. Framed it measures 27"H x 31"W.
