Description   The Columbia line of cylinder music boxes was Paillard's attempt to compete with the disc music box during the 1890s. This example has an inlaid lid, crank winder on right side, and nice tone for a late period music box. This is such a very fine piece and in very good shape with minor wear. It does play! I do not guarantee it to play if we ship this heirloom however we will go to great lengths to protect it and insure it! I believe the top is rosewood with finely done marquetry.
