To say exquisite would be an understatement. This is a fabulous secretaire that will stand out in any room. Boulle style marquetry in floral covers this fine piece in walnut and satin woods. Charles Boulle was considered to be the preeminent artist in the field of marquetry. Opening up to other secondary solid hard woods the sloping slant front reveals the pigeon hole and hand cut dovetail drawer storage. There then lies the leather inlaid writing surface. The 3 large drawers make this desk a very usable item as well as an heirloom showpiece. This jewel terminates in finely carved Paw feet. A piece is missing off of the side of the leg, otherwise in great presentable condition. This antique Secretaire measures 20"D x 45"W x 50.5"H.
